As part of proof of ownership and authenticity all watches must come with original paperwork or a recent appraisal showing value and authenticity from an authorised dealer or watchmaker.
You must be the legal owner and the item must not be subject to any encumbrance or third party claim of any kind.
Valuation
When valuing a watch we look at the Brand and the model as this is unquestionably a major determinant of the value, we look at the age, is it new or old, the value is typically higher on newer watches, whereas vintage watches are based on rarity, we will look at the overall condition, scratches, dents and as there been any restoration work etc. as all this will decrease it’s value
